There has been much debate over what the lesbian flag should be. Some of the most commonly used are edited versions of the lipstick lesbian flag (see below) and the labrys lesbian flag, however many other flags have been put forward.
This flag used to be commonly used as the lesbian flag, and is used mainly by cisgender lesbians. It is no longer used commonly today due to its transphobic and butchphobic meaning, and transphobic creator. It is better known as the lipstick lesbian flag.
This flag is used mainly by lesbians today. It is inclusive of butch lesbians as well as trans lesbians, and takes into account the nonbinary experiences that lesbians can sometimes have. It is better known as the sunset lesbian flag.
